This hands-on workshop bridges the Enneagram with depth psychology, the study of the unconscious. The Enneagram has given us a language to translate our suffering and better understand our psychological lives, but sometimes we can get stuck in the story. Moving from words to imagery can give us a new view on our psychological dilemmas and life situations.
In this workshop participants will:
- Explore the metaphor, imagery, and symbols connected to their type structure
- Engage in expressive art
- Participate in type discussions
- Learn active imagination techniques as a way to do inner work
This can be a powerful way to access emotional complexes and psychological beliefs that are typically non-verbal. Each participant will generate unique imagery that is tied to the details of their own life story, yet we will also discuss how each Enneagram type structure carries specific archetypal themes common across individuals. No artistic skill is necessary; these are simple techniques with everyday art supplies that everyone can do.
