Self, Remembered: Somatic Enneagram Studies

A five-week conversation between the Enneagram and the Alexander Technique, with attention paid to the Felt Sense

Register Early, Class Size is Limited!

"Beliefs are nothing more than habitual muscular tension." F.M. Alexander

Have you felt that you are not engaging fully with your whole self?  Is there a sense that you have forgotten something essential, something about yourself that wants to be expressed but can't find it's way?  Do you feel as if you are stuck in patterns that don't change?

My new frontier is the intersection of personality and performance; the place where our beliefs are expressed.  It is a conversation between the Enneagram, which describes why we do what we do and the Alexander Technique, which reveals how we do what we do, and includes listening to our internal felt sense.  It is a journey into undoing -- stopping -- unwanted patterns and an exploration of the nature of the transformation that occurs.

I am offering something new: a pilot study program* that will address mind-body integrity, using the principles of the Alexander Technique, the Enneagram type structures and Focusing with the Felt Sense to explore our reactive patterns, discovering how our beliefs bind us and how they translate into habitual muscular tension.

In this new program we will:

  • Visit the nine types of the Enneagram and three-centered awareness
  • Learn simple body mapping that reveals common misuse of the Self
  • Work with powerful methods that encourage change
  • Explore our somatic and psychological states using group discussion, hands-on demonstration and imaginative movement
  • Discover our stories of separation and experiment with releasing associated tension
  • Allow ourselves to move toward wholeness

The Program:
